In many homes in Brazil women and men often perform same gender roles. Women in Brazil do the cooking, cleaning, laundry, and taking care of their children.Men do the more physical jobs at home like cleaning the garden, and repairing things that don't work. Women with more money in Brazil can choose to be a stay at home mom, and raise their children.
In many homes were both husband and wife work, it is still common for the wife to do all chores that need to be done at home. Today about 40 percent of Brazilian women have jobs outside their homes(everyculture.com). So in many cases women do double jobs. In Brazilian men have very physical jobs, because of the jobs that are available. Men often do low-level agriculture, factory, and domestic service jobs. There are also better jobs available to those who have degrees.
I think that every where around the world it is pretty common for both men and women to work.It is also common that the women takes care of the chores home. I feel that it is very awesome that women in Brazil have work toward their equality to be able to work. Furthermore, I fell that all women should have the right to work like men. I also think, that men and women should be paid equally not only in Brazil but every where around the world.
